Mark Manders – Mindstudy: 

Een reis door de stilte van het denken.

Museum Voorlinden toont de solotentoonstelling Mindstudy van de Nederlandse kunstenaar Mark Manders. De tentoonstelling is een kans om in één ruimte door de stille, gelaagde wereld van Manders te dwalen — een universum waarin tijd lijkt stil te staan, woorden tot objecten worden en het menselijk bewustzijn tastbaar wordt gemaakt.

Dutch artist Mark Manders (1968) explores the quiet depths of human consciousness. The internationally acclaimed artist fixes thoughts and moments in sculptures, paintings and installations that hover between the tangible and the elusive. 
His oeuvre breathes a poetic tension: intimate and universal, concrete and mysterious. 

 

 

 

Alex Katz

Museum Voorlinden in Wassenaar NL toonde een tentoonstelling van de legendarische Amerikaanse schilder Alex Katz.  Je kon er een selectie uit het rijke oeuvre van de nog altijd actieve 95-jarige kunstenaar zien, waaronder iconische portretten, platte sculpturen (cut-outs) en monumentale landschappen. Hier een kleine terugblik.

Gormley onder de bomen

 

Museum Voorlinden wijdt een groot deel van het museum aan één kunstenaar: Britse kunstenaar Antony Gormley. Met zijn sculpturen, installaties en kunst in de openbare ruimte onderzoekt Gormley de relatie tussen het menselijk lichaam en de ruimte om ons heen. De overzichtstentoonstelling GROUND is binnen en buiten te zien. Hieronder een indruk van de beelden in de bossen en duinen rond het museum.
