Brancusi, The Birth of Modern Sculpture

 

In H’ART Museum Amsterdam wordt een toonaangevende collectie kunstwerken van Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957) getoond. De kunstenaar wordt wereldwijd beschouwd als de grondlegger van de moderne beeldhouwkunst. De tentoonstelling is gemaakt in samenwerking met het Parijse museum Centre Pompidou. Naast de meer dan 31 meesterwerken zijn te zien op de  originele sokkels die Brancusi zelf ontwierp.

 

On display at H’ART Museum Amsterdam a grand exhibition: an exceptional collection of works by Constantin Brancusi (1876–1957), who is widely regarded as the father of modern sculpture. In collaboration with the collections from the Centre Pompidou: Brancusi.
The exhibition displays more than 31 sculptural masterpieces, accompanied by the original pedestals created by the artist.

Mark Manders

Mark Manders – Mindstudy: 

Een reis door de stilte van het denken.

Museum Voorlinden toont de solotentoonstelling Mindstudy van de Nederlandse kunstenaar Mark Manders. De tentoonstelling is een kans om in één ruimte door de stille, gelaagde wereld van Manders te dwalen — een universum waarin tijd lijkt stil te staan, woorden tot objecten worden en het menselijk bewustzijn tastbaar wordt gemaakt.

Mark Manders – Mindstudy

Dutch artist Mark Manders (1968) explores the quiet depths of human consciousness. The internationally acclaimed artist fixes thoughts and moments in sculptures, paintings and installations that hover between the tangible and the elusive. 
His oeuvre breathes a poetic tension: intimate and universal, concrete and mysterious. 

 

 

 

Ivna Esajas

Ivna Esajas - In The Garden of My Good Days
In Museum De Fundatie in Zwolle.

In The Garden of My Good Days is de eerste solo museum tentoonstelling van kunstenaar Ivna Esajas in Nederland. Ivna maakt grote tekeningen op doek, composities van figuren die het dagelijks leven en de wereld van zwarte mensen en de zwarte verbeelding verkennen. Ivna heeft een atelier in Amsterdam.

In The Garden of My Good Days is the first museum solo show in the Netherlands of the artist Ivna Esajas. Ivna makes large drawings on canvas, that explore the daily life and world of black people and of the black imagination. She works in Amsterdam.

Nina Chanel Abney in Elleboogkerk

In a combination with the Jacob Lawrence exhibition, Kunsthal KADE in Amersfoort displays Heaven's Hotline, a lively and attractive installation of works  by American artist Nina Chanel Abney (1982) in the Elleboog Kerk (at the elbow church).
