Magische Miniaturen

Museum Catharijneconvent in Utrecht presenteert Magische Miniaturen.
Een tentoonstelling over in de Zuidelijke Nederlanden gemaakte miniaturen. 

Met minutieus geschilderde illustraties uit de middeleeuwse handschriften vol kleur, fantasiewezens, dieren, figuren en bloemen.

De vakkundig gemaakte en tot in detail uitgewerkte bloemenranken, jonkvrouwen, ridders, aapjes, vogels, fabeldieren, vlinders en konijnen geven een kijkje in het kleurrijke leven van de middeleeuwen.

 Museum Catharijneconvent in Utrecht NL is hosting a unique exhibition of manuscripts illustrated with beautiful medieval miniatures. The manuscripts reveal a world full of flowers, animals and rolling pastures. Apart from the biblical scenes and saints, the books also feature pictures of everyday and less everyday activities, such as farmers working the land and dukes out hunting.
