Muurschilderingen in Prunetto

Het heiligdom van Madonna del Carmine van Prunetto, in Langhe, Piemonte, Italië,  stamt uit de 14e eeuw. De kerk is versierd met een fraaie reeks fresco's van heiligen en kerkvaders.

 

The sanctuary of the Madonna del Carmine of Prunetto, in the Langhe, Piedmont, Italy. Built in the fourteenth century. The inside is decorated with a series of frescos, painted in different times.

Alba in het Noord Italiaanse Piemonte huisvest jaarlijks het Alba International Music Festival.  
Veel uitvoeringen vinden plaats in de Chiesa di San Domenico. Een kerk uit de 13e eeuw vol middeleeuwse muurschilderingen.

The Alba International Music Festival has brought many music enthusiasts to its acclaimed concerts in Piedmont, a beautiful region of Northern Italy. Many concerts take place in the ancient church of San Domenico (Saint Dominic), built around the end of the 13th century. All along the walls and vaults are frescoes of the medieval cycle of paintings, dating from the late fourteenth century.

EDGARD TYTGAT, VLAAMSE MEESTER

De Vlaamse kunstenaar Edgard Tytgat (1879 - 1957) vertelt verhalen in verf vol fantasie.
Zo'n zestig jaar na zijn dood komt het universum van deze 'Chagall van Vlaanderen' weer tot leven in het Stedelijk Museum Schiedam. Een ontroerende tentoonstelling.
