Fritz Klemm

De tentoonstelling Fritz Klemm – Schilderijen en werken op papier in Museum De Fundatie in Zwolle is een prachtig overzicht van de buitengewoon krachtige, verstilde en poëtische werken van deze Duitse kunstenaar. Fritz Klemm (1902-1990) wordt geëerd als een belangrijk representant van de ‘post-minimalistische’ kunst in Duitsland.

The exhibition Fritz Klemm – Paintings and works on paper in Museum De Fundatie in Zwolle (the Netherlands) is a great survey of the powerful, tranquil, and poetic works of this German artist.
Fritz Klemm (1902-1990) came to be revered as a major representative of German ‘Post-Minimalism’.

Oude fresco's in Sezzadio

De abdij van Santa Giustina in Sezzadio ( Piemonte, Italië) werd in 722 gesticht door koning van de Lombarden Liutprand. Uitgebreid in 1033 door de markies van Sezzadio. Er zijn interessante fresco's van de veertiende en vijftiende eeuw te zien. Bijzonder is ook de vloer van de crypte met mozaïek van de elfde eeuw.

The Abbazia di Santa Giustina (St Giustina abbey) in Sezzadio, is one of the most important medieval monuments of Piedmont. Founded in 722 by the Lombard king Liutprando. Around 1030, Ottoberto, marquis of Sezzadio, expanded and almost completely reconstructed the sacred building placing a Benedictine monastery at its side. Interesting are the frescoes from the 14th and 15th centuries of the apses and of the vault and the crypt’s 11^th century mosaic floor.

Sean Scully in De Pont

Internationaal geldt Sean Scully (Dublin, 1945) als een van de meest toonaangevende abstracte kunstenaars. Met zijn solotentoonstelling bij De Pont maakt hij zijn debuut in Nederland.
Heel bijzonder om zo een ruime keus uit zijn werk daar bij elkaar te zien.

Sean Scully is considered one of the world's most prominent abstract painters. Born in Dublin in 1945, he grew up in London and now lives both in New York and in Germany. For the first time in the Netherlands, a large choice from his work is to be seen in Museum De Pont in Tilburg.

The Sigg Collection

Uli Sigg (1946), Zwitsers zakenman, diplomaat en kunstverzamelaar, bezit op dit moment de grootste particuliere collectie hedendaagse Chinese kunst in de wereld. Werken daaruit waren te zien in de A Chinese Journey, een tentoonstelling van het Noordbrabants Museum in Den Bosch.

A Chinese Journey was an exhibition of Noordbrabants Museum in Den Bosch (Netherlands). The exhibition showed modern Chinese art from the large collection of Uli Sigg, Swiss businessman, diplomat and art collector.
