Armando

Museum Voorlinden Wassenaar.
Overzichtstentoonstelling van Armando (1929-2018), als eerbetoon aan de kunstenaar die vorig jaar overleed in Potsdam. Armando is één van de belangrijkste naoorlogse kunstenaars van Europa. Decennia lang werkte hij aan zijn zeer persoonlijke en veelzijdige beeldende. Zijn handschrift is expressief, zijn schilderijen pasteus en zijn sculpturen met veel kracht opgebouwd.

A large retrospective of Armando (1929-2018) as a tribute to the artist who recently passed away.
Armando is one of the most important post-war artists in Europe. For decades, he worked on his highly personal and versatile visual and literary oeuvre. With his expressive signature, he created paintings with thick impasto and sculptures built up with great force.

Michaël de Kok

Michaël de Kok schildert landschappen. Toch is dit niet het eerste waar je aan denkt als je in museum De Pont zijn tentoonstelling met recente schilderijen bekijkt. De meeste werken bestaan uit twee ogenschijnlijk monochrome kleurvlakken naast elkaar. Ieder spoor van figuratie ontbreekt. Ook de horizon – de lijn die land of water en lucht van elkaar scheidt – is uit zijn landschappen verdwenen. Of heeft hij het werk een kwartslag gedraaid?
Was een mooie tentoonstelling in De Pont Tilburg.

Michaël de Kok paints landscapes. Yet this is not the first thing that comes to mind on seeing his exhibition of recent works in De Pont’s podium space. Most of the works consist of two juxtaposed, apparently monochrome surfaces. Any trace of figuration is gone. Even the horizon – the line that separates land or water from the sky – has vanished from his landscapes. Or has he rotated the canvas?
Was a beautiful exhibition at De Pont Museum, Tilburg NL.

Ann Veronica Janssens

Licht, kleur en ruimte zijn de basismaterialen van Ann Veronica Janssens. Met deze ongrijpbare fenomenen creëert ze 'beelden' die het onzichtbare zichtbaar maken. Door reflectie en breking van het licht spelen kleurvlakken met de vloeistoffen een verfijnd visueel spel. In Museum De Pont in Tilburg.

Light, color and space are the fundamental materials used by Belgian artist Ann Veronica Janssens (1956). With these intangible phenomena she creates ‘sculptures’ that make the invisible visible.
Due to the reflection and refraction of light, surfaces of color visually interact with the fluids in a refined manner. Exhibition in De Pont Museum Tilburg, Holland.

Was een tentoonstelling / Was an exhibition in Museum De Pont, Tilburg NL.
Het Franse kunstenaarsduo Anne & Patrick Poirier doorkruist het verleden op verschillende manieren. Ze brengen archeologische vindplaatsen in kaart. Ter plekke maken ze foto’s en notities en verzamelen overblijfselen en planten. Al dit materiaal vormt de basis voor maquettes, fotoseries en werken op papier.

French artists Patrick and Anne Poirier roam the past in different ways. They have been mapping out archeological sites since 1969. At the location they take photographs and make notes and collect remains as well as plants. Together this material constitutes the basis for maquettes, series of photographs and works on paper.
